EDUCATION CLASS
NAMI Basics
NAMI Basics is a free, six-session education program for parents, caregivers, and other family members who care for a young person (age 22 or younger) experiencing mental health symptoms. Whether the symptoms are new or your family has been navigating them for a while, Basics helps you take the next steps with more knowledge, confidence, and support.
The class is taught by a trained team of parents and caregivers who have raised a child with a mental health condition. They know what you’re going through, because they’ve been there too.
About this program
Ninety-nine percent of participants say they would recommend NAMI Basics to others. The program is available both in person and, through NAMI Basics OnDemand, as a free self-paced online course available 24/7.

What participants say
“This class was unexpectedly wonderful. I did not expect to learn so very, very much. It covers so much more than basics — the title doesn’t do it justice.”
