Suicide Prevention Training

Sign up for any or all opportunities. Together, these programs are more than the sum of their parts; they combine to create a whole community that is safer from suicide.

LivingWorks registered trainers lead SuicideTalk, SafeTalk, and ASIST. SafeTalk and ASIST classes receive certificates of certification and CEUs are available to those who qualify.

SuicideTalk
A 90-minute virtual introductory seminar for people 13 or older that explores suicide prevention opportunities, suicide and attitudes towards it, ways people can help to prevent suicide, and how to get involved.

SafeTalk
A 3.5-hour in-person workshop for people over the age of 13 to become a suicide-alert helper; receive hands-on skills with practice and development and learn about the TALK steps.

ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
A two day (2) 16-hour in-person course for people 16 or older that provides suicide first aid, an intervention model, skill practice and development, group discussions, and a balance of challenge and safety.
