Accessibility Statement
NAMI Southern Nevada
Mental health support should be available to everyone. That includes this website. NAMI Southern Nevada is committed to making namisouthernnevada.org accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, and other assistive technologies.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are the widely accepted standard for making web content usable for people with a broad range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
What we do
Accessibility is part of how this site was designed and built, not an afterthought. Measures on this site include:
- A “skip to content” link on every page for keyboard and screen reader users
- Logical heading structure to support screen reader navigation
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Color choices tested for sufficient contrast between text and background
- Forms with labeled fields
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, including our dropdown menus
- Resizable text that does not break the layout
- A language selection option for Spanish-speaking visitors
We review the site on an ongoing basis and address accessibility issues as they are found.
Known limitations
We want to be honest about where things stand. Some parts of this site rely on third-party tools that we do not fully control, including our event calendar, donation processing, newsletter signup, and embedded videos. These services maintain their own accessibility practices, and their content may not fully meet our standards. Where possible, we choose providers with strong accessibility commitments and we offer alternative ways to get the same information or complete the same task.
If any document on this site, such as a downloadable guide, is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide the information in a format that works for you.
You can always reach us another way
Everything on this website is also available by phone. If any part of the site is difficult for you to use, call us at 702-890-9729 during office hours (Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM) and we will help you directly, whether that means registering for a class, requesting a CARES session, or finding a resource.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 anytime, 24 hours a day. TTY users may use their preferred relay service to reach 988.
Tell us if something isn’t working

2820 W. Charleston Blvd, Unit 19, Las Vegas, NV 89102
When you contact us, it helps to include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We will make every reasonable effort to fix the issue promptly, and we will respond to accessibility feedback within 2-3 business days.
